This is Benjamin (pictured with Eva). Benji knows how it is to be an orphaned child, when we met him at age 12, now 22- he was tending the goats instead of tending to his education. Sponsorship has changed his life. In 2023 he will graduate from MakerereUniversity with a degree in Human Resources Management. He plans to use his degree to continue his work as the Director of Adored International Ministries in Uganda. He has such a heart for seeing children grow thrive and grow up to change Uganda for the better.
Hope is the key to a good future! We can’t wait to see changed lives continue under Benji’s thoughtful and caring hand!
This is James. James is an orphan that was living with his sisters and grandmother, attending a school under a tree. As James has HIV, he was not getting the nutrition he needed to stay healthy. He lacked food, clean water and clothing. Now 13 years old, James is in 6th grade and excelling. He has dreams of becoming a surgeon. That is until the day he met John- a sponsor that told him about what it is to be an airline pilot…now he may change his career choices! As the world opens to our students through interacting with our sponsors via zoom (or a visit), both of our world’s are changed for the better! We believe in you James!!
This is Susan, pictured here with her son, Judah. Susan is a teen mother of two that got pregnant during the pandemic. She was forced to quit school, and although she really wanted to finish, there were no funds to care for her sons and her tuition. Through sponsorship, she is nearly complete with her final year of culinary school. Earning a living wage will change the future for her and her children.
Francis is an orphan that suffers from HIV. You wouldn’t know it though with his style and swag! Francis has recently completed Senior 4, and is heading to a two-year course to become an electrician.
Joseph comes from a single-father home where times are extremely difficult. His father is a farmer. Joseph is physically challenged with a lame leg. He is such a bright student, he was able to completely skip one grade level in school. He is currently a Senior 2 school, studying at a private boarding school. He wants to be an engineer when he graduates.
Anthony, Christine and Francis are siblings being raised by a single father. Their mother died of HIV. Miraculously none of the three have HIV! We are so thrilled! A local teacher ensured that the boys went to school to keep up their education, while the daughter was taken to an aunts to help out at her home. We have recently found sponsorship for the boys, and have a commitment for Christine! We are excited to share their stories with you!
Angel, Eva and Naome are the light of our lives! These three orphan girls live at our Adored International Ministries home. They have been with us now for 8 years and are growing and thriving. Wow, their lives would be different before sponsorship. All three are complete orphans, but now have a loving place to stay and a hope for their futures! We can’t wait to see what wonderful young ladies you will become!
Meet Silver
Silver’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Growing up in Uganda, he faced significant challenges, including battling asthma—a condition that can be life-threatening in a region with high dust levels and limited access to medical care. Despite these obstacles, Silver’s determination and perseverance carried him through.
This past year, Silver achieved a major milestone by graduating and stepping into his dream role as an elementary school teacher, serving impoverished children in his community. His dedication to empowering the next generation is a testament to his incredible spirit and the power of education to transform lives.
But Silver’s talents don’t stop in the classroom. Under the stage name Tempah Freyz, he is also a published songwriter and artist. His music, filled with passion and creativity, has touched many hearts. You can find his work on YouTube—don’t forget to look him up and give him a like!
Silver’s story is a powerful reminder of what resilience, faith, and opportunity can achieve. He’s not just a teacher or an artist; he’s a beacon of hope and inspiration for his students and community.
Thank you for supporting students like Silver through Adored International Ministries. Together, we’re not just changing lives—we’re creating a ripple effect of hope and transformation.
Meet John
John’s resilience and ingenuity shine through in everything he does. At just 16 years old, he has already shown remarkable resourcefulness and determination to overcome challenges. Coming from a single-father home after losing his mother in a tragic lightning storm, John has channeled his hardships into building a hopeful future.
John is currently in high school and dreams of becoming a civil engineer, dedicated to making a difference in his community. His talents are evident—several years ago, he constructed his own round, thatched-roof hut and even installed solar power to run his radio.
Beyond his academic aspirations, John is a skilled pigeon rearer, operates a grinder during cassava season, and takes on various odd jobs to stay productive and support himself and his family. His hard work and creativity set him apart as a young leader with an incredibly bright future.
At Adored International Ministries, we are proud to support John and nurture his potential. We believe his determination and talents will help him achieve his dreams and positively impact his community.
Meet Emma
Emma’s story is one of survival and resilience. At just 8 years old, he endured unimaginable hardships in an abusive family that treated him as their whipping boy. Isolated and forced to live apart from the family, Emma’s days were filled with servitude.
But even in these dire circumstances, Emma’s resourcefulness shone through. He took matters into his own hands, engineering a tent over his bed to shield himself from a leaking roof—a testament to his creativity and determination to create a better environment for himself.
Now under the care of Adored International Ministries, Emma is beginning to heal, experiencing the love and support every child deserves. With nurturing guidance, we are committed to helping Emma build a brighter, safer future where his potential can truly flourish.
Meet Sharon
Sharon’s life took a heartbreaking turn when a misunderstanding at her grandmother’s home changed everything. At just 14 years old, she was accused of stealing grain after trying to gather what was spilled at a grinding mill mingled with red earth. She was hoping to please her grandmother by bringing home grain-even dirty food was better than none. Tragically, her grandmother believed the lies of others, burned everything Sharon owned, and cast her out into the bush without hearing her side of the story. Some passersby picked her up on the side of the pitch-black African road and brought her into town.
That evening, Sharon found the courage to knock on the window of Adored International Ministries, seeking shelter and a second chance. Today, she is safe in our care, attending school, and pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.
Sharon’s resilience and determination inspire us daily. With your support, we are helping her rebuild her life and work toward a brighter, hope-filled future.
